Ok so I got to the city around 4:15, met with two of my friends, Alyssa and ~Memo1990, and we had like four hours to kill before the play started and it was raining like a motherfucker and we decided to wander over to Times Square and figure out what to do with ourselves. So we braved the storm and walked around and it was so windy and rainy it was ridiculous. When we got to Times Square we took shelter in Toys R Us and tried to dry off and figure out where to go from there. While we were wandering around our friend Lauren (who was gonna meet us later with her bf) texted us and said we could come to her grandma's (her grandma lives in the city and they were having a family party). So we got directions and hopped on a subway over there and managed not to get lost. We got wetter though! God my shoes and coat are still wet lol.
Anyway! We got to gramma's house at around six or so and we were able to dry off. And Lauren's mom fed us so much food, lol. It was kinda overwhelming. After hanging around and eating for like an hour or so everyone going to the play set off for the theater. The first subway station we went to was like shut down- probably because of flooding or something. But we had payed and went down so we had to go back up and get transfer tickets and run over to another station that actually had running trains. Luckily there was one right down the block.
So we got on the train and got to our stop and we emerged near the theater. We got there without getting lost and with time to spare. We were in the second row which was awesome.
After about ten minutes the play started~
It was so so so good. When it started it was almost like watching Psych- y'know, tons of pop culture references and general hilarity. But the longer it went on the more serious it got. And the end was... well, it had impact, I can tell you that. There were a lot of nuances throughout and I would really love to see it again. And James Roday and Michael Weston were excellent, of course.
Afterward we went outside by the stage door to wait for the actors. Some other people were waiting too but it really wasn't a lot- maybe 15 of us altogether? Anyway it was still raining and we were all huddled under a leaky awning, haha. We waited a little bit and then Michael Weston came out. <333
He was such a sweetie. He came under the awning with us and he was chatting with us and he said we were all awesome for braving the storm. I was the only person who had the foresight to bring a silver sharpie so I let Michael Weston sign everyone's playbills with it. He took pictures with everyone, too. And I made him laugh because I was like "I feel kinda bad, I only know you as Private Dancer." And then after he made sure everyone got pics and autographs he assured us that James would be out soon and he left.
We waited a few more minutes and then James Roday came out! <3 He was a silly and didn't come under the awning. He started signing autographs (with my sharpie, of course, which he dropped in a puddle lol) and he was asking everyone their names so he could write "To so-and-so" along with his signature, which I thought was cute. Also he was such a Shawn when he asked people's names ("So, what's your name?" "Nicole." "Nee-coooooooole!"). And then he took pictures with everyone and it was awesomeeee.
After that we were trying to figure out what to do next. Since Lauren's mom fed us so much we weren't really all that hungry but we didn't really wanna go home yet either. Problem was we didn't really know the neighborhood so we started wandering around. At one point Alyssa called her dad to see if he knew any nearby diners (he didn't) and we were standing on a corner in the middle of a gale that broke Alyssa's umbrella. We took shelter for a moment in a Bank of America that was next to us and from there we decided to go to the Starbucks across the street to figure out what to do from there.
So we like practically swam to Starbucks and two of got drinks and Lauren's bf was googling nearby diners and it seemed that the nearest one was... 20 blocks away? But we were like "that can't be right" so we asked one of the guys working there if there were any diners nearby. He said there was one like two blocks away that was pretty small and had very reasonable prices, especially since we were in a more upscale area with a lot of expensive restaurants.
We finished our drinks and found the diner quickly enough. We went in and ordered some food- nothing big, just stuff to nosh on. It took a little while for our food to come out so Alyssa called her mom so she could look up train times on the mta website. While this was going on it was 11:30 and the best train to catch was at around 12:30 because after that there apparently wouldn't be a train until 2. We didn't know if we would make it or not but we weren't that worried since there was a subway station right next to the diner that went directly to Penn. When our food came out we ate fairly quickly, hopped on the subway, and made it to Penn with half an hour to spare. People who needed to buy tickets bought 'em and after waiting a bit our track was called.
Got home at 1:30 and did laundry because oh dear god my clothes. I swear I could've squeezed out my jeans and socks and flooded the house. Flooded it with dirty city water ewww.
But yeah even with the storm it was a good day. <3
Oh and here are some pics:

Not like you were really hiding or anything. :/
Which all of this is probably sounding pretty strange, but WAAAAAAY back in the day, you were one of my first friends on fanfiction.net, back in the day when I was still a HORRIBLE suetard. Oh, thank God for maturity. :/ Miss Cassi, at anyrate, if that name even REMOTELY strikes a bell.
Something something about being the Roller Disco Queen. Yeah, that one XD
I'm now going to wander back to my own little slice of devianthell, but yay. I found you. Fear.

Oh wow, I'm so happy right now~

I haven't had much time to do any writing recently, due to the whole being in the Navy thing. I vaguely remember writing something, but I think I lost it. Go figure, it happens.

Someone else who says totes XD I thought I was the only one. XD

I still have some of my old fics saved on a disc. I look at them sometimes and just die a little inside. xD Ah, but those were fun times, nevertheless.
I love saying totes, haha. It's a fun word. :3
